Student Representatives Election?! What happens here at all

The higher education system in Germany is based on so-called academic self-administration, a system that gives all members of the university the opportunity to play an active democratic role in the organization of the university. This has not always been the case and has not just happened by accident. People have stood up for the right to have a say at the universities and we still benefit from this! We students should definitely use and maintain this opportunity to shape the university and our studies according to our needs. After all, the student body is the largest organ of our university.

On this website we have put together some information for you to give you a better idea of where we as students at the HfK have a say, a voice and can change things. Here you will find basic structures of university politics at the HfK, pages on the student councils as well as the students’ parliament, and an overview of the activities each committee is involved in and more. At the moment, most of these pages are only available in German, but we are already working on a translation.

We also explain how to run for office and how the election process works.

Very important:
To make sure the postal voting documents arrive at your correct address, check it again in the Artist portal until October 19th! Update it if necessary if you have moved recently – or if you are not in Bremen at the moment.
