The StuRa elects a 1st and 2nd chair in addition to the speakers of the AStA. The chairs, together with the student speaker for finances, are authorized to sign for expenditures The StuRa elects in addition to the speakers of the AStA a 1st and 2nd chair. The chairs, together with the student speaker for finances, are authorized to sign for expenditures (according to the budget plan) and legal transactions of the AStA. Together, the two chairs and the finance position form the chair / executive board of the AStA. It is possible to hold both a department and the chair at the same time – with the exception of the finance position.
Tasks of the chair
- Supervision of the activities of the student speakers, especially the finance position
- Issuing legal declarations together with the finance position
- Supervision of AStA employees
- Representing the AStA externally, in particular vis-à-vis the university management
- Preparing and chairing AStA meetings, as well as taking minutes
- Securing the business capacity of the student body and the AStA
- Regular exchange with the presidium of the students’ parliament
- Contact with the university management/rectorate and representation of the AStA towards them
- Active participation in meetings of the students’ parliament
- 1st chair: representation of the AStA in all matters concerning the “Semesterticket”, if necessary together with the responsible department
- 2nd chair: representation of the AStA in all matters concerning the “Kultursemesterticket”
The chair pays attention to the legality and proportionality of these expenses and checks before signing whether they are for the benefit of the student body of the HfK Bremen. The Chair does not compensate any losses in the work of the other student speakers.
