The Bremen Culture Semester Ticket arose from an initiative of the Bremen Students’ Unions as well as in cooperation with numerous partners from the Bremen cultural scene in 2021. How can I use the Kultursemester-Ticket?
Your semester ticket is also your ticket! The Kultursemesterticket is, like many other things, financed by your contribution to the student body. (If you want to know more about what happens with your contribution, have a look here!) With the KST you get free or discounted admission to various cultural venues in Bremen. The booking process differs depending on the contracting party.
The current partners in the Kultursemesterticket are:
Free admission from 7 days before the performance and at the box office! Excluded are guest performances, special events, as well as concert and party events. More info here here!
The offer of the Kultursemesterticket is valid for all events of the Schwankhalle.
Free advance sale at all ticket agencies and directly on the website, as well as via Nordwest Ticket. Excluded are guest performances, special events and concert and party events.
LAfDK (Verband/Association)
Among them: AMS-Theater, Bühne Cipolla, Literatur Keller, Mensch, Puppe!, Blaumeier Atelier and Bremer Kriminaltheater with free admission to all performances and events. Free advance booking via the respective websites, the Bremen Criminal Theater additionally at Nordwest Ticket, as well as for the puppet theater by e-mail via karten@menschpuppe.de.
StadtKultur (Verband/Association)
These include the bremer shakespeare company and the Schnürschuh Theater with free admission to all performances except for third-party events, as well as the steptext dance project with free admission to all steptext dance project events in the Bremen area and free advance ticket sales to events on other stages, if available, at the respective advance ticket office. You also get free admission to the Sommer Summarum Festival, which takes place every summer in Bremen.
The Weserburg offers you free admission all year round. Exceptions are special events, as well as closed events. No reservation necessary, so just drop by with your semesterticket!
Offers year-round free admission to all exhibitions (including special exhibitions) and the Kunsthalle collection. Excludes special events for which a fee is charged, as well as closed events. Reservations in advance are not necessary.
The aim of the Kultursemesterticket is to improve access to Bremen’s diverse cultural range for all students in the form of free tickets or discounts by removing financial barriers and to strengthen socio-cultural participation during studies.
